Hi, I'm Luci!
The Book Designer who helps you set the date.
Somewhere between “I wrote something real” and “I'm ready to call myself an author,” it gets complicated. File types. KDP margins and bleed.
Whether the cover should look “professional” or actually match your words. I read your whole manuscript, usually more than once, before I open a design file.
I went back to school for a graphic design diploma, and in 2025 I started freelancing, designing book covers and typesetting layouts.
In the summer of 2026, I got certified in NLP, Life/Success Coach, EFT, Hypnosis, and Time-Based Techniques through the Anchored Program, mostly because I'd already been doing that work quietly, within myself, for years.
I found the words to express my work and joy in doing this inner work. A client told me I'd already been “in that mode” long before I had the words for it. So words are very valuable to me. Your words will impact someone to express theirs.
In 2004, I lost my aunt, way too young, after moving to Canada. And in 2021, in one brutal, compressed stretch, I lost my grandmother, my uncle, and my father.
So I started The Cardinal Atelier, a handmade art business built around woodworking and scroll-saw art, mostly to find my way back to myself and comfort others.
Cardinals remind me of the ones I lost. I always had a connection with birds since I was little, and I see all birds as my spiritual visits.
My great-great-grandmother was First Nations in Brazil. Colonization took her real name, her tribe, her story.
There's just a blank space on the page where she should be. I know exactly what it costs a family to lose a story before it reaches the page.
Your own words, imperfect and real, matter more here than anything borrowed or generated.
Clients describe a calm, thoughtful presence who asks exactly the right questions and cheers real wins in real time.
Creativity is not an instant job and takes time.
Your book gets a human's full attention, start to finish.
Every project moves as a true partnership. Your feedback is the most important part of my process.
Design and story work bring people together.
Your own words, imperfect and real, matter more here than anything borrowed or generated. In my own words: "Better to come from the heart and be messy…". Your reader sits with you and your words, and they need your most authentic self.
Clients describe a calm, thoughtful presence who asks exactly the right questions and cheers real wins in real time.
Creativity is not an instant job and takes time. Every cover, every layout, every word comes from a person who actually read your book, at the pace your story actually deserves. Your book gets a human's full attention, start to finish.
Every project moves as a true partnership. You'll hear me say, "Give me the feeling." I will watch your reaction and let it guide me for the next draft. Your feedback is the most important part of my process.
Design and story work bring people together. I've seen it firsthand at many rooms how vulnerability open chapters for other women and helps us to not carry alone. Working together, you join that same circle: people who take the real version of your story seriously.
You asked all the right questions to help me get clear on the direction I wanted my branding to go.
I feel organized, polished, and proud to present this next step for my offers.
Big believer in signs and super connected to birds. A bird-watching lady. I'm always doing my inner work and trying new wellness tools.
I am a curious being, and that's why creativity has always been my thing.
In Human Design terms, I'm a Generator with a 2/4 profile and an Enneagram 4. I love meditation, hypnosis, EFT, and NLP, so I pursued certification to help others, too.
Music needs to be on, & if I can, I will light a flower candle.
Also, I require one big summer concert a year.
I am up for any book about mindset, romance, creativity or wellness.
My childhood book is The Little Prince.
A few in my collection: Nicholas Sparks, Jay Shetty, Austin Kleon, Emily Giffin, Ellen Lupton.
Give me a Brazilian beach and a coconut water, or a hike around Banff or Quebec City with birds nearby, and I'm home.
I speak Portuguese, and saudade is my favourite word. Saudade is a longing that outlives whatever caused it. English needs a whole sentence to say it.
I've been in Canada for 20 years, and English is my main thinking language now, but my accent survived.
Or maybe you do
